Pool Time

Parker has had the same baby pool for months, but finally decided today it looks like fun. It took mommy putting her feet in to finally tempt him, but once he got in he did not want to get out. I also let him play with the hose, and he had no problems getting his entire head wet. Then dumb me forgot that my child has tubes in his ears, so we get to put drops in for the next 3 days and pray that he doesn't get an ear infection. Up until now he has also really disliked grass, but crawled all around the yard. My little boy is growing up so fast!!

Standing Tall

So, everyone knows we have a very special boy!! For the last 6 months, he has been achieving gross motor milestones at his own pace, and this week is no exception. Parker has started crawling, which we never thought would happen. At the same time, he is cruising everywhere and even stood without holding on today. He was standing at his Little People garage and decided to let go. He just lowered himself slowly to the ground, and since he received so many applause, he did it again. He is definitely making progress, just not in the typical order of things!! We'll see what next week has in store.

Busy Weekend

On friday night we went to Christopher's Day Jams concert. At Day Jams, the kids are put into groups and they write their own music over the week and then perform it on friday night. Christopher was a guitar player in the group, Def Pedestrian. They did awesome!! As soon as Parker saw Christopher up on stage, he went crazy. He loves his cousin so much!!

Then on saturday morning, John's mom Judy got married. It was a beautiful ceremony at Memorial Drive Presbyterian church with a gathering of our families. Judy looked fabulous and the couple looked so happy!! John and I could not be any happier for Judy and Dick! After the ceremony we all went to Maggianos. It was a great family lunch where we were able to get to know John's new step sisters. They both have little boys that are one month older and one month younger than Parker.

That afternoon Danielle, Aaron and Marshall came to stay with us. Parker and Marshall had fun playing ball and even getting to feed the neighborhood ducks. Marshall and Parker had a couple of crawling/scooting races, which was really cute! We miss our Austin friends so much!!
