ONE!!!

For his first birthday party, I decided to combine it with is brother's this year. He was our little Super Truitt for the day. Obviously the biggest part of a first birthday party is the smash cake. Once he got a lick of the icing, courtesy of Parker, he LOVED it!! He literally smashed it and kept eating and eating until the cake was taken away. He was an absolute red mess!!

I can't believe my little boy is already 4!! He is such a sweet, imaginative, loving little big boy and I can't imagine life without him. He can turn anything into a fun toy these days with that creative mind and loves to play with his brother. He is in the preschool class at school and is writing his name so good and can sound out most letters. Now don't get me wrong, he is a big stinker when he does not get his way and has a terrible time listening these days, but overall he is such a great kid.

Today was his superhero themed birthday party. We went to a nearby park where the kiddos decorated their capes. played on the playground, had lunch and cake and ended with a pinata. I had a blast planning this party and I think it was a hit!!

Moving Day

This time John and I decided to move most of our stuff by ourselves since we were just going a couple of miles down the road. Wow, it was a lot more work than we expected. We worked, along with my mom, for a whole week and had moved 90% of our stuff before the movers came and moved the furniture. The big plus was that by 36 hours after the move, almost everything has a new home!!

Welcome Home

Wow, are we crazy!! John had been looking at this house online for weeks and knew that the price was soon going to be reduced. So one friday he called me up and said, "how do you feel about buying a house today?". That afternoon we bought our beautiful new home!! All we really needed was one more bedroom for guests, but we eneded up with 1200 more square feet!! There are definitely mixed emotions about leaving the home where both of our children were born and where we have such great neighbors, but change is good. The house officially becomes ours on the 17th. Now we just need to get our current one sold!!
