Potty Training...Take Two

Day 1 - On friday, I decided to try potty training again. Last time Parker refused to go without pants and I made him use the potty every 30 minutes or so. Since he is now 4-5 months older, I decided to try a little different approach. Our first day was really successful!! He went most of the day without pants and would tell me every time he had to go to the potty. We only had one pee pee accident!! Another thing I changed was his "treat" - last time it was stickers, this time it was gummies or M&Ms.

Day 2 - Only accident was #2 on the floor as he was running to the potty - but he told me he had to go!! That afternoon he even got to play outside without a diaper.

Day 3 - In the morning we had our first outing in the car without a diaper. He went to get his haircut and no accidents. Then in the afternoon he played outside with his friends.

We are sooo proud of our big boy and just hope that 3 days at school in pull ups won't throw him off completely :)

Girls Weekend

Instead of having baby showers for each of our second babies, we decided to do a fun girls weekend. We started out with lunch on Saturday, then headed to the spa for massages and pedicures. After getting ready we went to a very yummy dinner at Grotto. That night we stayed at the AVIA hotel in the Woodlands and Nicole and I hosted a mini baby shower for the girls having the opposite sex this time. We definitely got a lot of comments asking us if we were a Lamaze group or a pregnancy pact!! I guess 4 women at 32-33 weeks pregnant and one around 24 weeks looks pretty funny!!

John stayed home with Parker and actually got him to drive his Jeep!! They had a blast running from monsters, going to the park and playing outside.

Happy Retirement Mom

This past weekend we headed to New Braunfels for what we told my mom was a baby shower for one of my friends. However, we really made the trip to celebrate my mom's retirement from 25 years of teaching. Her good friend Annie, my Dad and I had been planning a surprise party for the last month. The party was held at one of our old favorite restaurants, The Barn Door, and I really think she was surprised. She was able to celebrate with all of our family and many friends. Congratulations Mom!!

Happy 13th Birthday Christopher!!

Today we celebrated Christopher's birthday with a yummy lunch at Texas Land and Cattle, at his choosing. He is officially a teenager tomorrow!! I was a senior in high school when he was born and can't believe he is already 13. Chris, you are an awesome, loving, handsome kid and the best cousin to Parker ever. We love you and wish you a Happy Birthday!!

30 Weeks

On New Years Eve, we decided to take a group belly shot. Since I looked so huge next to the others, Danielle and I decided to compare bellies. Deanna, Danielle and I are due only days apart from each other. However, they are both having girls and I think that is obvious by my huge basketball!!

Happy New Year 2011

New Years Eve was definitely different this year with 4 pregnant women and 4 toddlers, but it was still a lot of fun. Thanks to the Millers for hosting a great dinner and playdate!! The boys had a great time together watching Cars movie and throwing Poppers. Parker even stayed up until after 11 that night!!

Then New Years Day we all headed to the zoo. It was a perfect, beautiful day for this. All of the animals were out enjoying the cool weather and we beat the crowds, so the boys were able to see a lot of animals. I think Parker's favorite this trip were the monkeys, the carousel and the slide in the kiddie area. Thanks to Nana and Papa for our new Zoo membership!!
