Merry Christmas

Christmas day started with Parker finding the gifts that Santa left him under the tree. He was obviously a very good boy this year!! Then all 17 family members arrived and we had a wonderful dinner of pork tenderloin and turkey. Thanks mom!! It wouldn't be a family get together without several games of Mexican Train too. John, Parker and I were able to spend the rest of the weekend in New Braunfels, and were not excited to head back to the real world on sunday.

Christmas Eve

We headed to my parent's house for Christmas this year. Our family tradition is to open presents on Christmas Eve night after a yummy tamale dinner. John's dad and step mom were able to make the trip and join our family this year. Parker did so good with all of the commotion. He loved handing out the presents and of course received a ton of his own. It was wonderful having two of Parker's great grandparents there too!!

We celebrated Christmas a little early with John's mom and Dick, becuase Dick will be having knee surgery this week. Judy brought over a fabulous lunch and then we had presents. Parker seems to know just what to do this year. I am hiding all of the wrapped presents in the guest room, so someone doesn't break into them early!! Parker got two great gifts from Mimi. One is Chuck the talking dump truck and the other is a Little People race car that he can ride on. This last one is a hit!! He has not stopped playing with it since he opened it. He has all of his little people riding around the house with him. Thank you so much for a great day Judy and Dick!!

Scared of Santa

Every year my work hosts a holiday party for the patients. This year was just as spectacular as the last. There was a ton of food, Santa, ladies singing and even ballerinas that put on a show. I took Parker to sit on Santa's lap, but he was not going to let that happen. When I went to hand him to Santa, he wrapped around me tighter than he ever has before. So, I decided I would sit on Santa's lap, but as you can see that didn't help.

Dallas Weekend

This weekend we went up to Dallas on friday to visit Aaron and Regina. Parker did great on the 4 hour drive. He played with his football and Aquadoodle I bought him for the trip. It was great to hang out with our old Austin buddies and catch up. Parker got his first Christmas gift, a big Monster truck!! Saturday morning we went to the Plano Christmas parade.

Then on Saturday afternoon we went over to Kelli and Brad's house for a visit. Parker loved seeing his future girlfriend, Anna. We headed over to the mall for a train ride, which ended up only being an exhibit, so we stayed for a cute puppet show instead. On Sunday morning we bundled the kids up and headed to the park, where Parker made a new friend. It was a busy 3 days, but a great time!! Thanks for the Mr Potato Head Kelli!! Parker LOVES it!!!

Snow Day

It started snowing here about 8:30 in the morning and did not stop until mid afternoon. Parker was so excited to see the "sno" falling as we were driving. When we got home he went out on the driveway to try and catch the snow. After his nap we went back out to play, but it had already started to melt. I can't believe it only snowed once in my childhood, and already he has seen snow twice!!
