The Big Tub

While we were in Galveston, Truitt took his first bath with Parker in the big tub. They both loved it!! Parker is so protective of Truitt and Truitt just loved splashing and playing with the cup :)

The Perfect Weekend

We took our 3rd annual trip down to Pointe West in Galveston this weekend to celebrate my 32nd birthday. I really didn't think this birthday would be anything special, but it really was the perfect weekend. We had some great meals, relaxation and it didn't rain until we were leaving!! We spent saturday morning playing at the pool.






Saturday afternoon some of our friends were able to come down for some fun on the beach, burgers and dogs and birthday cake. We had four 3 year olds running around and four babies under nine months!! I would describe it as organized chaos, but a lot of fun!!

Key Family Birthdays

Sunday we headed to Austin for Marshall's birthday party and to surprise Danielle for her 30th birthday. Since Truitt was sick, I sent the boys up early and I came up later in the day. I first stop by Kristin's to meet baby Makenna, who is precious just like her brother and sister!! Then headed to the Keys for food, presents and playtime for Marshall, Daniel and Parker. As they are getting older, I am so thankful to have close friends with boys the same age. They have so much fun together!!


Parker would not let anyone else play the guitar. Guess what Santa is going to bring him this year!!

Parker received his superhero cape from Kelli Bruce for his 2nd birthday and we gave them to Marshall and Daniel for their birthdays this year. They had a blast running up and down the street for about an hour getting the bad guys and rescuing people.

Truitt is 6 months old!!

This is one of my favorite ages!! Truitt is so social and always smiling and laughing, especially at his big brother. We have nicknamed him "busy nose" since he is always watching everything and has to be nursed in a quiet room. He has started scooting backward all over the place and even getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. Maybe we will actually have a crawler this time!! This month has not been quite as smooth with his sleeping, as he has been waking most nights and having a hard time getting back to sleep. He loves eating his evening cereal and oatmeal, but still is not a big fan of other foods I have made.

New Braunfels Weekend

We headed to New Braunfels for Labor Day weekend this year. We had a great time, as usual, playing in the pool and enjoying the beautiful weather. Unfortunately Truitt was sick, so John and I got terrible sleep, but were able to do our favorite thing, nap, since there were extra hands!! It was a special trip, because we got to see "Big D". This was the first time that Parker ran up to him and gave him a great big hug (which made his day) and his first time to meet Truitt.
