Family Vacation

This year for our family vacation, we decided to stay fairly close to home. We went to La Toretta on Lake Conroe. It was a nice resort, but unfortunately it rained most of the time. The boys loved our little house and would go back in a heartbeat.

With all the rain, there was a lot of time spent reading, playing games and coloring

The boys had a blast in the pool, even though the "waterpark" is the same one we have in the neighborhood. I think their favorite part was the lazy river.

Once the course dried up, we were able to play a couple rounds of mini golf

Galveston Beach Day

Since the Keys came in for the concert the night before, we all decided to head to Galveston the next day. I braved it just me and the boys, without John, and I think it went well!! Definitely helped that Aaron and Scott were there to help entertain the big boys. We had a fun morning building castles, playing in the water and enjoying lunch at the Spot.

The Package Tour - That really was the name!!

Danielle, Nicole, Shanta and I went to see Boys II Men, 98 degrees and NKOTB to have a little fun reliving our childhood!!

We definitely had nose bleed seats, but it was still a lot of fun!! I think the highlights of the night were seeing Nick Lachey in a wife beater, Jordan Knight shirtless and Donnie Wahlberg making out with a married woman!!

John's Block Birthday

Since John was out of town for his birthday, the neighbors and I planned a celebration for him the following weekend. We had the water slide for the kiddos, two grills out front, chairs around "the tree of trust" and even a birthday cake for the old man. Kelli thought it would be funny to put 50 candles on the cake :)

When their name was called to receive their diplomas, Mr Kevin announced what they want to be when they grow up...Parker said a Daddy!! Definitely brought tears to my eyes.

Austin Love

We started the day riding the Metro Rail from Cedar Park to Downtown

Then that afternoon, we headed to the neighborhood pool for swimming and pizza

Then Saturday morning we went to the most awesome splash pad - John met us in Austin at 8am after only 3 hours of sleep, so he spent most of the time sleeping under a tree!!

Saturday night we went to a really fun outdoor restaurant with live music and a playground, Reunion Grill.  Aunt Regina and Uncle Aaron even came up from South Austin to join us.
