Galveston 2009

We headed to Galveston this weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends. We rented a great house for 2 nights with the Keys, Millers and Seph. We brought along the three boys, so it was definitely a fun filled, but tiring weekend. On friday night, my friends suprised me with a cookie cake, which was gobbled up in no time!! We played some games on the balcony while listening to the waves, since the house was right on the beach.

On Saturday we took Parker and Daniel to the beach for the first time. Unfortunately Marshall was napping, but we were able to go back later in the day. Daniel dove right in even eating sand, and Parker was his usual "careful" self. It rained most of the day, but in the afternoon we headed to the resort pool to swim and grill out.

Then on Sunday we had a great lunch at a favorite seafood restaurant, Gaidos. We also drove around the island a little to see what had changed since Ike. They are doing rebuilding everywhere, but it still needs a lot of work to get back to the way we all knew it.
