Pool Fun

This morning we finally brought out Parker's new pool for the summer. He had a blast!! I was very impressed that he jumped right in, played with the hose and even did a little swimming. This is our child who doesn't even sit in the bathtub!! I guess we just need to make the water really cold. We spent about an hour playing this maorning and then he even took a bath in there tonight after he got very messy eating a popsicle.

Father's Day 2010

We had a very busy but fun weekend. On friday night John, my dad, David and my grandfather (who flew in from Killeen) all went to an Astros game. Then on Saturday we all headed over to John's Dad's house for our traditional saturday celebration. Parker had a blast as usual playing and bossing around Chris. Chris said that every hour he plays with Parker in Ocean City equals an hour of Ipad use!!

Father's Day morning my mom and I made the guys breakfast and then we went out for a seafood lunch. That evening we headed over to John's mom's house for a shrimp boil. Parker was a little shy around his cousins, but I think he definitely had fun. It is so much fun watching the three boys interact since they are only months apart in age.

New Teeth Are In

Parker is no longer toothless!! He now has two new beautiful teeth that are cemented in with a metal retainer around his molars. This has taken him a lot of getting used to, but by the 4th day he was able to starting eating regular food again. He still doesn't want to use a sippy cup (I guess it feels weird) but that is not needed anyway.

Today was the day I had been dreading since Parker's last fall about a month ago. He had his 2 front teeth extracted and a frenectomy this morning. He was given some Versed and then hung out with us in the waiting room for about 15 minutes. During that time he began to walk like a drunk, so they decided he was ready to go back. Before I could even wipe away my tears, we got the thumbs up from the doctor. The drive home was miserable!! He was bleeding and screaming, because he couldn't have his paci. Once we were home, he spent about 4 hours sleeping on my chest on the couch. I wasn't allowed to go anywhere. He was so precious and I hate that he had to be in pain to get such a sweet moment. Later this afternoon, he was talking great and riding his tricycle like nothing had ever happened. It is amazing how resilient they really are!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Today is John's 33rd birthday. We spent the weekend in New Braunfels lounging by the pool and relaxing. To be honest, it feels like you are at a resort with all the beautiful flowers, waterfall sounds and fruity drinks!! Parker could not get enough of the pool with Daddy and Grandpa. All he wanted to do was jump from the edge and be thrown between Daddy and Grandpa. We celebrated with a great steak dinner on saturday and Omi and Karen joined us that evening. It is so amazing that Parker has a great grandmother to get down on the floor and play with him!! They jumped, rolled cars and played hide and seek or "boo". Happy Birthday to an amazing husband and father. We love you!!

Work Fun

Thursdays are 1/2 days for the doctors, so they decided to take all of us bowling in the afternoon. This was Parker's first time at the bowling alley and he had so much fun. He and I rolled the ball down together and only got 2 balls stuck in the gutter!!

What Happens When You Let A 2 yo Paint

Since we have been having such hot afternoons already, instead of going outside we decided to paint. This is what happened:

Memorial Day Weekend

We started our fun filled weekend with a trip to Galveston on saturday morning. We met the PA crew at Moody Gardens where we played in the pool, dug in the sand and hung out in our cabana. The 5 kiddos had a blast!! Later that day we all met up again for dinner at a place that had an awesome playground for the kids. The theme for Saturday was Sand!!


On Sunday, Danielle, Nicole and I took the boys to Hermann Park for a train ride and picnic. It was sooo hot, but a lot of fun!! That evening we went to the Miller's for a BBQ. Parker stayed up and played with Daniel's train set until almost 9:30! I have to say this could not have been a better weekend. Even with five 2 year olds, there were no big arguments or melt downs. We are so blessed to have such awesome friends and little ones that get to grow up together!!

Counting

Parker is learning so much at school. The other day we realized he can count to 10 in English and Spanish really well. Of course when you try to get it on camera, they never cooperate!! So, this is the best I could get.

Happy Birthday Noni

We spent the weekend in New Braunfels to celebrate my mom's 40th birthday!! :) We had a great steak dinner and an excellent banana sour cream cake for dessert. On friday, John, Parker and I hung out while it poured rain and then we had an adult evening of dinner and a movie. Saturday we headed to Sea World with my parents and the Keys. The boys had a blast watching the dolphins, shamu and playing in the water park. I have to say we all did great without a nap, even though I got a little grouchy at times!!
